Lately I've been really interested in anatomical drawings and have been running around to every museum in London on my days off work, to find inspiration for my summer project & zine! I've spent a lot of time at the Hunterian Museum, which is a surgeons museum, full of deformed body parts in jars etc- it's such an amazing place!

This is going to be the front cover for my Industry Report! The birds in the trees are meant to represent collectives and freelance artists. The trees with a single bird in are freelance, and the large tree in the middle thats got several birds of all different species in is meant to show a collective.

Abney Cemetery re-shoot

Today I tried shooting my Abney Cemetery piece again, this time on dark grey card and experimenting more with the lighting. I'm much happier with it now, the grey background gives it more of an atmosphere, and I've managed to capture some of the shadows that were cast- overall it looks a lot more 3D now! (The last pics just to show how it was set up)

This was another piece I made for the East London project. I focused on the 'misplaced' nature that I found in the area, and included aspects of Regents Canal, Hackney city farm and Victoria park into my drawing. The drawings were then cut out, mounted and photographed.

This was a piece I did for a project based on East London. Its made from a series of drawings, cut out and mounted onto card, then set up against a white background and photographed. I'm planning on photographing it on black paper with altered lighting, as the white didn't quite give the 'spooky' atmosphere I was hoping for.

Jelly Fish

The task was to come up with a narrative and produce a series of images from 3 random objects that we were given. My objects were an onion, a passport photo of a woman and the word perspiration!

I thought the onion resembled more of a jelly fish when turned upside down, and I linked perspiration to water. I then made this concertina book, telling the tragic tale of a jelly fish who fell in love...*weep*
